ESS has saved me massive amounts of time working with a large project. It has turned dealing with an untidy hierarchy of source code and resource files from a painful chore into something almost pleasant.  ESS has also transformed the way I work with projects and given me new approaches to drill down into the source code.

It's not just the massive speed-up of searching an index that makes ESS so productive.  A lot of thought has obviously gone into the user interface to allow you to achieve what you want without getting in the way.  If only Microsoft could take some pointers on how things should work and put them into Visual Studio...

I have been a happy Entrian Source-Search user since its beta releases and this tool has saved me tons of time in my daily coding routine.  Most of the time I am working with a very large code base (>150 projects).  Waiting for the standard Ctrl+Shift+F to pass through hundreds of thousands of LOCs has always been a major annoyance.  With Entrian Source-Search my searches are not only instant, but also the word that I am typing-in is auto-suggested, which is handy.  The highlighting of the search results is very helpful, too.

I have also set up Entrian Source-Search to index our latest DB scripts so I instantly can see the stored procedure definition I need.

The customer service has been outstanding so far.  My e-mails got answered right away and my feature requests turned soon into features.  Thanks for the great tool, Richie.
